Technical Problems
1. How it works?
To get started, you need to register - it's free and buy some "Bids" (bidding credits / bidding rights). Bids cost from €0.37 each and are sold in packs of 10, 55, 120, 185 or 400. Each bid placed increases the price of the product by €0.05 and the auction countdown by up to 20 seconds. The last bidder wins item - usually at a very low price. On average winners save up to 85% of item retail price.
2. How i can compete?
If you want to bid online, you'll first need to register. Once you've successfully registered, you can buy some bids and start bidding straight away.
3. How much does a bid cost?
Each bid costs from just €0.37, bids are available in packages of 10, 55, 120, 185 or 400 bids. You can buy bids using either your credit or debit card, or via PayPal. We accept Visa, Visa debit and Visa electron cards as well as MasterCard and Maestro cards.
4. How does the BidButler work?
To start use our bid helper - "BidButler" to turn on BidButler please click on a auction from live auctions and on the auction detail page click "Book my bid" button. In the BidButler menu please enter starting price - this is the price on which BidButler will make bids on your behalf, then please enter "end price" it is the amount on which you would like to BidButler to stop bid on your behalf. "Bids to use" - the amount of bids you want to BidButler to use.
Main function of the BidButler is to place bids automaticaly against other bidders, if its turned on it will bid until the bid limit is out, our end price that you've entered is reached or unless you have a bids on your account.
5. I have placed a bid but I am currently not the highest bidder, why?
When a bid is placed, it will always be the highest bid, but might get out bid very quickly. This can happen if there are many bidders or if there's another user's BidButler also bidding on the auction. You might not see this simply because other bids have been placed with a few seconds of each other - sometimes even within the same second!
6. I have just won an auction. What now?
Confirming your win
Once the auction has ended, you'll be automatically transferred to a page where we will ask you to confirm that you still want the item and explain what to do next. You will have the opportunity to redeem any vouchers you may have and will be told how to pay the final amount. We will also contact you via e-mail to explain how to do all this. Just remember to confirm that you still want the item within 28 days of the end of the auction. If you still haven't confirmed within 60 days, we will assume that you have changed your mind and no longer want to buy the item.
Paying for the item you won
Just as for your bids, you can pay for your item by credit or debit card, or via PayPal. Please make sure that you pay within 7 days of the end of the auction. We will confirm you payment via e-mail and arrange for the item to be shipped to you. If the item hasn't arrived within 14 days of our confirmation of our payment, please contact us.
7. I can't find Future Auction section, in what order auctions appear on the Live Auctions page?
The items appear on Live Auctions page randomly, so you'll never know what comes on live auction next! The most popular products on our auction of course are Apple products and wide range of DSLR cameras, more information about items currently in stock you may find on Stock page.

Click on the "Lost password?" in the "Quick Links" section. We'll send you an email that will explain what to do next - simply follow the link in the letter which you will receive from us.
15. Why hasn't my bid been registered on an auction?
Very occasionally, users tell us that even though they bid before the countdown ended, their bids did not get placed and the auction ends. In these instances, the most likely explanation is so-called "Internet lag times". These are time-delays in the transfer of data between your PC and our servers. Mostly those delays (lags) occur because single parts of the internet connection are overloaded.
This, unfortunately, is a general problem with the internet.
There are a few ways of helping minimise this problem:
We're very sorry if your bid wasn't registered by the PaddyGolds servers in time. To be absolutely certain that you avoid the problem of "Internet lag times" don't leave your bidding until the last second, or use the BidButler to place your bids. You can find further information in our T&Cs.
16. I can't confirm my registration using the link in the registration confirmation email. What should I do?
It might be that your email program shows the link in your registration mail as faulty. If this happens, just copy the complete link in to the address line of your internet browser and press 'Enter'. If this doesn't work, please get in touch with our customer service team, letting us know the email address that you used to register.
17. What means "Processing" sign which sometimes apears instead of the auction timer?
When you see "Processing" sign, this means that there was a packet lost somewhere between your PC and our server and your PC didn't receive latest auction timer updates. Once you refresh your screen, you will receive latest update on the auction timer and either you will be the winner, or you will be able to make further bids, or some else is won.
We're very sorry if your bid wasn't registered by the PaddyGold servers in time. To be absolutely certain that you avoid the problem of "Internet lag times" don't leave your bidding until the last second, or use the BidButler to place your bids.
18. What happens to the auctions during system downtime?
Downtime, or outage, is an occasional and unforeseeable problem with the internet, and means that bids cannot be placed during this short period when we are offline. If we experience downtime at any point, we automatically add ten minutes on to the auction end time, so that our bidders are not left at a disadvantage. It is impossible to place any bids whilst the system is experiencing downtime, so any bids attempted during this period will not be debited from your account. If this situation does occur, we advise you to refresh your screen regularly, either by pressing F5 or the refresh button on your browser.
19. How I can update internet time on my PC?
- Go to the Control Panel.
- Select Date and Time.
- Select the Internet Time.
- Click Update Now.
- Click OK
